On my last trip to Sephora, I noticed a travel duo I haven’t tried yet but I knew about the quality of the ingredients. 100% vegan ingredients sounded like a dream for my trouble skin. Hence why, I grabbed my travel size Youth to the People Superfood face wash cleanser and the moisture cream.
What’s in the Superfood Mini Duo?
The youth duo mini contains:
- Kale + Green Tea, Spinach Vitamins Superfood Face Wash (the cleanser)
- Kale + Spinach, Green Tea Hyaluronic Acid Superfood Moisture Cream
These two products – I have tested – give the maximum benefit when used together. Instead, when you use them with other products they might cause a little irritation on the skin.
The Youth Duo Mini is super affordable and it is 17,90€ on Sephora whereas the bigger versions are 39,90€ (the cream) and 29,90€ (the cleanser). What I normally do is wait for the 20% off and then pop to the store.
The Cleanser
The dense formula of the Kale + Green Tea, Spinach Vitamins Superfood Face Wash is similar to a gentle gel even though is super intense. I explain better – a small amount is enough to cleanse your face in the morning and as first step of your evening routine.
It removes make up and it is delicate to the skin. Only use a tiny dose, otherwise your skin will be left very dry.
That was the only trouble I had since my skin changes daily. I have explained my type of skin in The Effective Skincare for Combo Skin but just so you know I struggle with very dry to acne-prone skin. Sometimes it gets oily, so in the very end I’d say I have combination skin.
To balance the Ph always use a toner after the cleanser. I guess I need to write a post about it because toners are my favourite skincare products of all. Even though they are water with some extracts in it.
The Moisturiser
Now to the Kale + Spinach, Green Tea Hyaluronic Acid Superfood Moisture Cream which is a light cream at the touch but I’d say it has a medium reach.
It is full of natural ingredients that sink easily under your skin to leave it hydrated throughout the day. On my dry skin days, I need to add a hyaluronic based serum beforehand but otherwise it can work alone.
My suggestion is to use a specific serum before hand whether you have acne prone skin or oily skin (something with salicylic acid would be great). Of course sometimes I also have these days.
The texture is not greasy and it smells fresh. I am one of those people who tend to smell everything (even mascaras) and I must say this cream is lightly scented. Yeah.
I just wish this line to have more products. Or maybe they exist in the Us since it is made in the USA and as always nothing really arrives in Italy. XD

Ideal for traveling
I would suggest them as a perfect duo to take with you when traveling.
Their tiny dimension is ideal to carry around in a suitcase or bag. The cleanser is 30 ml and the cream is 15 ml. Also, I love mini sizes so I can try them out to see the reaction with my combination / dry / acne-prone skin without waisting a lot of money.
Just be careful because the packaging is made of glass which is delicate but it is also very much recyclable. I hate all the waste – especially with tiny samples – but this time the bottle and the jar can be re used to contain anything else. Thumbs up from me. #gogreen #savethisplanet
