First of all I have to apology to you all for my lack of content. Working full time in an e-commerce has started getting on me. When I get home at night I am left with no strength. Who has a job and a blog knows how much effort is to be consistent with both. Today I have made a new plan and instead of posting when I have time, I will try my best to stick with my homemade May schedule and post every week. Social media included!

Moving on to this post, I wanted to try this new app called Huji that basically is a disposable camera on your phone. It takes photographs with this vintage look with light infiltrations and a bulky date on the bottom right corner of them. What better chance if not forcing my photography friend to take pictures with his phone while cursing me for 90% of the time?

Gingham still on trend

Gingham style was everywhere last season and it hit the Italian shopping centers just now. Of course I jumped on the train and I bought this Tezenis skirt very loose and very light. Perfect for spring and summer. Heels instead were a sale purchase from this past autumn. Like I said, gingham style was predominant over the Channel last summer!

Platform heels are from Topshop and this is officially my first time wearing them! Quite comfy but I hoped platform would have helped a lot more! Unfortunately they are painful to walk. I paired them up with a plain black top and a lovely H&M silky-like bandana. The crossbody bag is a little gem from Zara, a birthday present from my bffs.

I love the atmosphere of these pictures as I love anything that looks analog. Apart from this, when using Huji consider a few downsides to using your phone as camera.

First inevitably photographs will have a small dimension ( these were 1200×800 px) which is near the non acceptable line for me. Second comes poor quality and no control. On each one of these pictures you can notice how blurry they are above and below the center of the image. Light infiltrations are then chosen randomly so just hope for the best.

Overall I don’t mind these texture and filters but if I have to use it again I would rather properly taking photos with my analog camera, develop the film roll and scanning the pictures or taking them with my digital Canon, editing them and recreating this look through Lightroom. Long to explain but really easy to make, believe me!
