My Dark Paradise
My dark paradise is a reflection of how I feel these days and this outfit shows the endless romantic I am alongside with the melancholic and damned soul I have. Lana del Rey simplifies this in her songs, so when I found this slogan t-shirt, everything came right to place.

Most of you will surely know Zaful* and their endless online shop site. This look has the juxtaposition of my beloved tulle skirt and a simple tee. I then added a pair of rainy boots. Why, you may ask. Simply because I love getting lost, wandering around abandoned places like the one in the pictures below and I usually end up very dirty (countryside problems), so the boots are a great solution.
Also, let’s not forget about the idea beyond these images that is the one of two aspects joining together: naivety and cinism. I am still fully eaten up by these two.
what I am wearing: Del Rey T-Shirt Zaful* / Tulle Skirt Zaful* / Rainy Boots Nico / Sunnies Quay Australia
The Del Rey t-shirt is simply a great idea (there was also a Salvatore one – but I didn’t like the ending of The Vampire Diaries, aww Stefan, so no t-shirt) for a casual look or to add a little bit of commercial to your fancy outfit. In this case, the grey tee put underneath the high-waisted tulle skirt smooths the girly look. Not to mention the boots.
Boots are right now ALWAYS in my car, ready to be used when needed and I love how much in contrast they are with this whole look. They also have an Arizona tag at front, which is one of the main reason I chose to buy them. You have to know my daughter will be called Arizona – no judgements. Apart from that, they are also perfect for the coming festival season (hello Coachella – you won’t see me even this year, never mind) and, as already said, for a more classic look.
To this extent, the tulle skirt is always a good idea. I got the wrong size, an M and it is very big, so beware of getting a smaller size no matter what even though the elastic at waist is on point. Length-wise I wish I would be taller because the midi length is quite long. Overall, I adore the total look and to finish it, I wore my Quay sunglasses with blue reflective lens.
And if you want to know which book I am reading, it is a photography book “Psychogenic Fugue” from Gillian Zinger showing her collection of analog 35mm photos. 100% of the proceeds from this book will be donated to the IRC to support their work with refugee families in crisis, so a good way to help.
This is everything for now – let me know what you think and be ready for more outfit posts very soon.
xx Cate
