Abstract Blue Skirt
from Elisabetta Franchi
November, Notting Hill

Kintwear: Brandy&Melville | Skirt: Elisabetta Franchi | Disco Pants: Boohoo | Boots: Topshop

I was helping Hannah – the girl behind these pictures (link below) – for her uni project and she had to take photographs of me, other then having already done a little interview. We agreed to meet in Notting Hill, one of the few places in London where I can get easily. I couldn’t resist, given the lovely spot, so I asked her if I could use the pictures afterwards for a blog post and she said yes.
So here we are, a few months later, showing you the same outfit you might have seen in my London Lookbook video (here). I layered up a few things but it was pretty mild for a November day. I had my very comfy Topshop bomber jacket with me and a scarf. I was wearing a pair of Topshop boots, my usual Boohoo disco pants and a dark grey knitwear.
But the key piece is the skirt, which I a-d-o-r-e. I have found it on sale this autumn and it is last year collection of Elisabetta Franchi. She is an Italian designer and her collection reminded me so much of Mary Katrantzou prints. I love high-waisted skirts, I love the blue & white print and I love the thick neoprene-alike texture. It is perfect either for a casual outfit and for a night out thanks to its versatility.  Given the bright colors I wouldn’t dare to match the skirt with another print but I’d rather tend to style it with plain colors as in this case.
P.S. Then, while wandering around, there was this fancy house with a even fancier PINK bike in front of us. Now I want one.
What do you think? x Cate
