My Top 3 Jo Malone Winter Scents for Xmas
Canon 5D Mark III
I am already smelling festive air and Christmas. Yes, I might have already watch a few Xmas movies and put a dedicated playlist on Spotify. But it is the best of the year. It’s cheesy but I don’t give a f. To this extent, I have decided to state my favourite 3 Jo Malone scents which can be perfect as a Xmas gift.
Jo Malone perfumes are so unique and the scents of candles are really intense and worth having one in your house.
There two perfumes and one candle in my collection. So let me show you my top 3 Jo Malone winter scents for Xmas.
1.Wood Sage and Sea Salt Perfume
This first scent has been created a few years ago – it’s relatively new on the Jo Malone shelves but it has become my favourite from the beginning. Wood Sage and Sea Salt has the perfect combo of a wooden base with the spark of something fresh.
I tend to use this perfume more in the summer but since the perfume is very strong is perfect for winter as well. Imagine the smell in the air when walking at the seafront. I remember it vividly in Brighton: the pebble stones and the crispy air remind me so much of this perfume.
I have the smallest bottle possible but you can also find candles with this scent as for other homeware bits.
For both men and women.
2.English Oak and Redcurrant Perfume
This perfume instead is the new addition to my Jo Malone collection. It was out last year and I have to say this one is very very autumnal. Okay, it’s quintessentially autumnal. The strongest scent you would first get is the one of berries: the redcurrant is quite intense but perfectly balanced with the wooden tones.
All I have to say is that English Oak and Redcurrant talks to my nature self. It’s like being lost in a wood on a misty afternoon. You feel the ivy, the trees, the leaves falling and all the berries near your feet.
Also, it is very very British and I might say slightly masculine to me. I wouldn’t wear a lot and absolutely I can’t wear in the summer but luckily we are going towards the coldest months.
For both men and women – slightly masculine.
3.English Pear and Freesia Candle
Now this last one was a Xmas present from last year and I have used it only a few times because I am trying to save it as much as I can.
The scent of Jo Malone candles is very strong even when they are not lighted up. They do let a nice smell only by being in the room. The English Pear and Freesia is a feminine scent. It is not too sweet and it doesn’t tired you down.
The pear is very subtle while the freesia is predominant and as a perfume I would suggest this one only for women. Time like instead is perfect all year long, it is more basic, some delicate perfume that can go well in any occasion. Pretty nice but it is not my favourite.
Only for women.
Are you ready for Xmas? And what is your all time favourite Jo Malone scent? Let me know.
