The Biker Jacket is still a statement piece in someone’s wardrobe. It may be translated from cold autumn days to summer nights. We only need to properly style it.
The Biker Jacket is still a Statement piece
The Biker Jacket alongside the Jeans jacket is one of my favourite statement piece to style in every season. I have two biker jackets: one very light (the one in these photographs) and one with faux shearling fur inside (you can see it styled over here floral midi dress) which is definitely more wintery.
The idea of stealing the trend from real motor jackets is quite old. Here a few examples of ladies motorcycle jacket you might enjoy. Remember those back in days classic films? Yes I am talking about the 50s and Marlon Brando or James Dean rolling around on some bikes and cars. That vibe is still vivid nowadays and I am happy to embrace it. Check BikeBandit.com if you want to have more ideas on the subject.
This biker jacket from instance comes from a big haul I did last year before in Primark leaving Brighton. It is super soft and it still looks new. I love the padded shoulders, the central zip closure and how simple it is in general. By being really light this jacket is perfect to take with you at night when it gets chilly.
what I am wearing: Zara faux shearling coat / Urban Outfitters top (in stores only) / Pull&Bear jans (old) / Vans Old Skool
I have styled it really casual, ripped jeans, my trusted pair of Old Skool and and adorable cropped t-shirt from Urban Outfitters. Messy hair then is my signature and this time I tried to braid them up but something went wrong.
Anyway I hope you like this post and photographs – it was a last minute shoot but it turned quite good to me!
