My Spring Style Bucket List
Ideas for Spring Blog Posts and Shoots
March is coming and daylight finally stays longer. Day by day. Seeing a glimpse of light when I go out of work at 6pm, believe me, is a relief. Saving said that in a poetic way, let’s get back to me and talk about my expectations or projects.
With spring so close by, I am coming up with too many ideas and usually I need someone who tells me what I can do and what I cannot. My best friend is here for a reason: I am the analog kid, he is the digital one and we love to shoot together. And spending time together.
I have already met him here while I introduced men fashion to this blog and now I have a few ideas for this coming spring. I have some props I want to use and some places I want to shoot in, in order to show you some of the trend of this spring/summer, man-wise and woman-wise. And my biggest aim is to shoot them all in analog, just like with the pictures in this post. You can recognise the grain, the blurry out of focus little problem and the imperfections.
Anyway, I have listed down below a sort of Spring Style Bucket list! Read carefully.
Spring Blog Post Ideas
Graffiti Art
Nope I don’t want to find a place full of graffiti walls, I want to create one. Short story: when I came home from Brighton last summer, I came home with a suitcase full of color sprays because after using one for a university project about a digital
cloud, I felt in love with it and bought more colours.
Therefore, my idea is to create a blog post dedicated to writers and graffiti from inside their culture. How? By doing it. This would be an editorial with probably some storyline behind, some inspiration from magazines but the good thing is that we can do it because the season is warming up.
As for style, I am imagining ripped jeans, oversize hoodies, bandanas, trainers and a big smile either for women and men fashion.
Filming a 8mm short film
Okay. Do not judge me. My passion for analog is just huge. I have seen a few 8mm films and I have always wondered how to recreate one. So I may have found the film roll, my friend is in charge of finding the right camera and I can’t wait to film a mini lookbook with it.
Probably this will go for late spring but nonetheless the style here would be more melancholic. I am channeling some Lana del Rey and Halsey vibes, some old 60s and 70s classic movies… we shall see.
The Grunge Look
I have bought some UNIF pieces this winter that are ironic and absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to show you the look of them because it will be something between and Zadig&Voltaire commercial adv and a more Brandy&Melvillesque style.
For me I have got a big tank top with three pugs on it and for him a bigger white tank top with a lovely text on front. Then I am thinking of embracing this season’s trend of black fishnet tights, a faux shearling black biker coat and some boots.
The Dandy Look
Now the complete opposite. You know I like to dress up and I have a pair of heels I want to show you very soon with tons of dresses but I had no idea about styling something fancier for men. Luckily Bonobos has got my back and a full range of men’s pants to choose from. From the most elegant pant to denim, I know I can choose something ideal for the dandy look.
There are a few chinos that might be ideal for a dandy look and some 5-pocket as well. The thing is: you know I love contrasts, so as with these pics from their collection, what I want is to enhance the juxtaposition between tattoos and the classic look. My dear friend has a full body of tattoos and I always complain I never see him dressed up nicely, so this might be a good occasion.
Unfortunately I don’t have the desert as a background but I have a few spots in mind that might turn unexpectedly good. Hint: countryside has it own perks.

In conclusion, these are four styles I want to shoot this spring, each one of them will hopefully be taken in analog with my small camera and every shoot will be designed for both men and women fashion. Now, I wonder what is the spring trend you can’t wait to style up?
Let me know in the comments. xx Cate
