One of the greatest piece of this summer was the glamorous swimsuit and I have thought of three ways of wearing it outside the swimming pool.
One Swimsuit, Three Ways
Let’s face it. A swimsuit like this one is a hell of a swimsuit. It looks divine on any type of body, it flatters your figure but given the deep plunge you can’t move, swim, jump, seat or do anything basically. Instead it is the perfect piece for a happy hour by the pool or a long dinner at the beach where you can decide to stay up all night.
Having said that, I have thought of three ways of wearing it and transforming the swimsuit into a bodysuit for more casual evenings and even special occasions. All versions are very much my style, meaning grunge, 90s and denim-central.
What am I wearing? ASOS Swimsuit / Pull&Bear Shorts / Vans Era 59 / Rayban Clubmaster sunnies / Regalrose Rings
First outfit is a very casual one. Super comfy and perfect for an afternoon out whether you are shopping, sightseeing, wandering or exploring somewhere, it is perfect for everything.
I particularly love the funny prints/animals on the shorts. They are so unique… Pull&Bear is the king of shorts this year for sure.
Vans are then my go-to shoes: stylish, grunge, cool and comfy. Love them in this dark burgundy color and I am already planning to get the Old Skool in black.
Fancy Night Out
If you want to juice it up a little and need to be slightly sophisticated, I wouldn’t mind pairing the swimsuit up with high waisted mom jeans and heels.
Too much? Completely out of style? I sincerely like it, the juxtaposition between the two items makes it very cool in an alternative way. Then the swimsuit does the rest.
I just need to express how much I adore the heels: on sale on Asos, they have a transparent plastic part on the side that is so glam and the biggest surprise is that they aren’t so uncomfortable as they appear!
What am I wearing? ASOS Swimsuit / TOPSHOP Shorts / Vans Era 59 / Rayban Clubmaster sunnies / Regalrose Rings
If you feel more grunge and you want a total black look, go for a pair of black jeans shorts. These are very old from Topshop, obviously they are high-waisted, obviously they are of a wrong size but to give you the idea of wearing black over black they are still good.
In fact this look could be great for both an afternoon out or a casual night out if you want to feel like a 90s babe.
So, how do you feel about wearing such a statement swimsuit?
